Voice

I went to Voice earlier this week, at the recommendation of a couple of friends who said it had cheap beers during happy hour (Corona – two for NT$150; Grolsch – NT$120). Based on the prices, I was expecting the place to be a barren room with a couple of picnic tables and a fridge. In fact, it is far more stylish and has has a bar that seats about twelve and an upstairs area with eight tables. It is fairly dimly lit and clean. The night I was there, the woman tending bar, who is quite friendly, played some nice jazz. There’s also an outdoor seating area – two tables with umbrellas (the road it faces isn’t too busy).

Location: One street back of the Brass Monkey, almost exactly behind it.
Food: The only item on the menu is beef noodles, but a nearby dumpling place will deliver and there is a Subway about 100 feet away.
