That’s probably at least as much the rule as the exception for “ancient” things in China. See, for example, Wuhan’s Yellow Crane Tower, which would be older than 1,500 years … if it hadn’t been rebuilt (differently) a good dozen times since the original tower – most recently in the 1980s … in a different location even.
