Have you been through it? You wouldn’t have to be going fast at all to be surprised by that post.
Nope, but I don’t think I need to have been through it. As I said, it’s a pretty basic rule of driving sensibly IMO. If someone can’t stop in time for unexpected things ahead they can’t yet see, they’re going too fast for the situation, end of story.
I’ve driven around curves and in similar tunnels before, and in windy mountain roads. It’s exactly the same principle.
What if there were another scooter driver who’d had an accident in the tunnel, or a random pedestrian who shouldn’t be there? A scooter driver using the tunnel should be able to stop in time for those too, not just ram into them because he was going too fast to react in time.
Sounds reasonable, but if you were going slow enough to stop in time for the post, everybody behind you would be laying on their horns.
They have a similar tunnel in xindien and i was always shitting it going through because some twat would try and take over me if i went too slow.
And then presumably crash into you because they were also going too fast…?
Pretty much yeah.
Yeah, it reminded me of a two-lane one down to the car park of a shopping center in Thailand. That also felt sketchy the first few times.
This has to be an above average in the wackness scale.
blood hell, that could have been seriously nasty.
How do they manage to do something so idiotic?
Okay, so everyone is driving badly there then lol.
Explaining that a contracted worker had made an ad hoc adjustment to the drilling location after encountering an initial obstacle, the office said the contractor will face a “heavy penalty” according to the terms of the contract.
English article:
Found a video from 5 years ago of someone going through the tunnel so you can see what the the whole thing looks like.
Chabuduoing topography.
Many of them almost take off at the entrance. There seem to be a competition to see who goes faster.
Not sure where else to put this.
The picture was taken about midnight Friday outside a 711.
Wonder if the key has any relationship to the phone call.
Your call is being redirected…
What’s wack is that they still have pay phones in Taiwan.
And people still use them. I saw one the other day that would take all kinds of cards (Easycard, etc.). But then I thought, who doesn’t have a phone these days? (Appart from foreigners with no ARC)
