I regrettably skimmed it.
This makes it even worse. I met some psycho-xiaojies in my time, but I never had an ex-girlfriend threaten to sic immigration on me. I’ve had one threaten suicide if we break up (this is so common it’s practically a rite of passage for anyone dating Taiwanese), but none threatened deportation. That’s some serious psycho-xiansheng shit, Mr. Renner.
Is there an equivalent slang for psycho-xiaojie? Psycho-Mr. just doesn’t have the same ring to it. I’ve been out of touch for years - what’s the word for crazy boyfriend in Taiwan/Chinese?

She brought the story to the press, but refused to show the part of the message that says why he was going to contact immigration. Is it her illegal alien brother’s fentanyl operation or what? All we know is she gave 6 words out of context, and she doesn’t want to give the evidence of the context even though she has it. Suspicious.
So, maybe he wasn’t going to report just her. And if she were legal, it’s a pretty empty threat. If she’s breaking laws, or her bestie from high school is running abductees through massages parlors, or whatever is after that her that she doesn’t want people to know, that changes things.

Reading her bio on wiki, she looks to be well connected. And her parents are a mystery.
Her work itself screams starving artist, but all the Chinese corporate appointments and brand ambassador gigs scream otherwise. There’s clearly something missing from that wiki page.

I would say that celebrities need to be very careful how and who they date. Also don’t mix work with pleasure especially these days.
