I went with a group of people recently to Wei Feng Canal for windsurfing. There was wakeboarding and waterskiing available there. However, this was in a fairly small enclosed piece of water next to the river, so there weren’t any sea waves. Since the wakeboarders had to share the water with windsurfers, I think that the powerboats weren’t going too fast.

There’s nothing on the sat image, must be a bit old, but there’s now a couple of converted shipping containers with a cafe in one and wakeboarding shop in the other. They’ve got a couple of boats there, looks like they use an old Bayliner for the pulling. I would love to have a go but the water in that river scares the hell out of me!!!
