Maybe we should rename this from “Watch” to “Subscribe”
When you “whatch” a topic, you will receive e-mail alerts whenever someone (except you) posts to the thread
“Watch” is fine.
I find this feature quite useful, especially for the more information-based threads. Say you are discussing something very useful and relevant to you. Then the thread goes quiet for a while. Then someone posts new, important information. This feature will ensure that you see that new information.
Yes, you might see it through the “new posts” feature. But it’s sometimes possible for things to go unnoticed, especially if you haven’t logged in for a while so there are a lot of new posts.
OK, I can see how this could be useful.
