Can anyone suggest a place where 10+ people can go to have a barbecue?
We just need an accessible place with a grill, tables, and a roof over our heads. We plan to handle the rest.

Assuming you mean barbecuing OUT of town–Wawagu. Doll Valley, past Wulai.
Good place, but technically it’s not Wawagu, it’s Qingwagu. From Wulai, head 4KM past the waterfall to Neidong. Turn left at Neidong, head down the road and cross the bridge. Wawagu and Neidong forest park are to the right, and Qingwagu is to the left. You pay the Aboriginal family here 70NT to use the BBQ site. You can camp for 300NT a site. It’s down by the river and pretty good.
Another option in the same area (but closer is) Mengmenggu (sp?). Head up the road towards Wulai, but Mengmenggu is well before Wulai. Vasically one you get up the first hill, it’s on your right, just before the gas station. Follow the road down and to your left, and you’ll come to a really nice lake with two BBQ areas. It’s 50NT (per person I think). I’m not 100% sure if they’re covered, but I think so.

I’m also looking for a nice outdoor barbecue spot. Is the above information still valid? Does anyone know of other similar places in the greater Taipei area that are accessible by public transportation?
Thanks in advance!
