Why is it that when I check the weather forecast it says that today (and on other days before that, too) there were supposed to be thunderstorms but my Taiwanese friend told me there’s barely any rain in Kaohsiung and there are pretty much no rainy pictures of Kaohsiung on social media…? I will be travelling to Kaohsiung next week and the forecast is full of thunderstorms… should I be worried or not?
Thunderstorm =/= rain
We had a huge thunderstorm around Yilan few days ago, I even posted a pic in the photo thread, and not a drop of rain fell.
So it’s still dangerous to go out then…
But do you think that one full week of thunderstorms is actually possible? Or can I maybeee expect at least a little bit of sunshine at some point?
I am just near by, Tainan, and I can tell you it is very humid since yesterday, I was surprised too that he has not rained but it could be coming in the next days.
I moved down here a year ago and I truly feel that the weather is way better than it is in Taipei. Though the weather wasn’t terribly great today.
I guess if you want great weather don’t live in Taiwan.
