Can anyone point me in the right direction to find information about package bus tours for weekends only? English would be a plus and I would prefer it to be focussed more on sight seeing, not just shopping.

There are many such bus trips, but I doubt you’ll find one in English, as they cater mostly for local tourists.
Be prepared to be squashed in between hordes of Obisans.
