Modding has been quite the revolving door recently. I can’t keep up with how many are then were and then are again, or are here and now are “there” but some are here, quite new in fact, read: Housecat, but will they also be modding “there” as well?
Can we just keep track of it, say, in a feedback thread?
“Housecat is the new mod of suchansuch forum and co-mod of suchansuch with othermod.”
(and worth every penny).
The index page is quite useful for such information.
That is true, but not exactly useful. How many people look to the index page instead of the actives page? And that would only tell you who the mod was and not when they were modded either. Also, some congrats from friends would normally be in order and you could flame the rest of them. 
I’m not asking why mods leave, just to be notified when they arrive on the job. 
As for housecat’s modding, I hope that by having a woman mod D&R some of the more insipidly sexist postings will be put down a lot sooner.

Why do you want to know who the mod is? Are you trying to evaluate how much trolling you can get away with?

I see no need for you to circle the wagons there BJ. There have been a lot of posts recently about modding, mods coming and going, dual mods here on Taiwaneasia.com. AFAIK, none of the queries have been clearly answered. It’s not trolling to ask a question, even if you don’t like it. :raspberry:
In the Mods Forum there are(were) always threads greeting new mods. Why not up front? 
I do not believe there is any particular reason why the Greeting threads have not appeared up front. I supposed they would go in the Temporary Forum, if they did.
I wouldn’t characterize the changes to the moderating team as a “revolving door”. Most have told me that they are waiting to see how the workload looks moderating on both websites - that sounds reasonable to me.
In the meantime, I’m very interested in bringing more moderators because there isn’t a single person like Maoman who is always going to be around. I’ve been reaching out to people who some on the current moderating team have suggested would be good moderators. There are a few more I’m presently talking to about joining, and I’m still hoping to hear back from others.

Hmm, I can see how this would be frustrating to you. honestly, I can tell you that as far as I can see, there is very little moderating going on yonder. It’s nice! Reminds me of the old days here when chatter MADE the threads! :bravo:

I think it’s worthwhile to keep in mind that some posters are going to be far more concerned about the identity and number of mods – say, those who are frequent candidates for editing and suspension. Others probably are content to look to the Index page only when a problem requires a moderator’s intervention.

Well, me, for starters.
I go to F.com, and open whichever forums I feel like visiting today. I’m not interested in active or new. I’m interested in the topics that are interesting.
None of this is really relevant to whether or not new mods should be introduced.

Well, I don’t think it’s any secret that I erm, “have a problem with authority figures” but no, I don’t care if some of my OT or snarky posts get temped. I used to do it myself although I believe Durin’s Bane was only mod to regularly temp his own posts. :bravo:

So, Tomas, what do you think of my decision to buy a buttload of MO 10 years ago, now that it has split into MO and PMI and spun off KFT and now KFT is splitting into 2 companies to unlock value and I’ve been dividend dripping them the whole time?
