Nonsense, if you lived in Taiwan in the 50’s and 60’s with a command of English at this level, CKS would have made you a general and sent you off to Washington to convince people that Taiwan would have been a great lauch pad to attack the PRC, with the goal of unified them with the ROC again.
Incorrect. The whole Strait Issue is rooted in the historical distortion that October 25 is “Taiwan Retrocession Day”. Taiwan needs to get rid of this inaccuracy.
Of course, because getting rid of the day that commemorates something means the event never happened. Why didn’t anyone else think of this? We could’ve stopped WW2 by getting rid of all commemoration days! It would never have happened!
