it’s an original recording, possessing unique hauntological qualities that would trigger nostalgia and a sense of loss in i reckon almost anyone, regardless of generation.
and haunting is certainly the correct adjective here.

don’t see a contradiction here as someone who isn’t me has used both and survived. i can tell you heroin doesn’t make you wildly good at lateral thinking. it does make you good at jazz though
