Suede
Every time a Suede song comes up I feel like I’m being thrust into what must be a very tight heroin trip.
Anyone want to take a try at explaining how in pop music hell a popular band picks these chords and harmony and melodies?

The Beach Boys are a mystery. A few of the best songs ever mixed in with 95% utter garbage.

Yes, but usually by people from earlier generations. I hate most of the music of my generation. Most of what I listen to was created before I was born.

The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, CCR, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Queen, Billie Joel, The Beatles, The Grateful Dead…
A few of those made some great stuff after I was born, but not much.
No wonder. The age of rock is pretty much over.
Meh…there’s a LOT of good R&R going on, but it doesn’t sell worldwide. Hotlanta and Houston are still putting out good stuff. You just have to join a cult though…

Yeah, it’s still around, but it’s lost most of its cultural significance and is just one of many musical niches.
