Continuing with some Floyd…well, this is about how I imagine any gig in the sky to be. I guess the tune is supposed to be about death and mourning, but I get more than just that vibe from the song. I mean the song seems to alternate between celebration and a groaning almost. Reminds me of Romans 8:26 “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.”
Smashing into neon streets in their stoneness,
Smearing their eyes on the crazy coloured goddess,
Listenin’ to sounds of Mingus mellow fantastic,
My, my, they sigh; my, my, they sigh.
I own the tailor’s face and hands.
I am the tailor’s face and hands.
Epic scene! Love that movie.
Does this mean anything to anyone?
Supposedly. And had big impacts on people’s lives. I’m not sure myself.
It doesn’t get any better
They need more cowbell.
Star Wars anyone?
