What Classical music would you suggest?

I just put on the radio and let it play. But back in 2003, I picked up this Mozart Effect thinking it would help me study better. Sure enough it has and never let me down and has some good selections. My only complaint is that the people performing the pieces aren’t what I would consider 'quality".

I learned that you can learn about composers but after that the real hard part comes, knowing which current conductors and orchestras are really good. Get that last part down and the world is yours!

I just go into classical music in a big way over the past couple years. I bought the “Gramophone Good CD and DVD” guide at Eslite. It has recommended recordings with reviews for any composer and work that you can think of. The internet has loads of “Top 50 Symphony” lists and the like.

My continued thanks for the input to this query.
The list is growing.
