And I am optimistic that Taiwan will be one of few countries where a large spread of deadly Delta variant was prevented. Delta variant will hopefully disappear soon.

Omicron, largely, isn’t too dangerous if you’re fully vaccinated. I would keep masks on the MRT, solely because I haven’t had a flu since the pandemic began and I’d quite like to keep it that way.
Pointless having quarantines and mask outdoors for Omicron.

Outdoor mask mandates! Quarantine hotel requirements. Painful PCR tests (require they are done with care to the person).

All of the measures should be lifted except for use of masks in crowded places like public transit, hospitals, indoor markets. Supposedly Taiwan has a robust and capable health care system. It has nearly 95% of eligible citizens vaccinated with mRNA vaccines and at least 47% with boosters. There are no deaths or serious illnesses being reported for months now. So what exactly is the reasoning for keeping such extreme isolation/entry QT/ contact tracing measures in place if not for giving certain people unfettered control over the population for an indeterminate period of time with no checks on them due to “pandemic emergency”?
