So who are you always getting compered to?

The Beef Noodle vendor I met today (and about 20 other people) said I look like Will Smith :sunglasses:

I remember a party a couple of years back where a lithesome young thing rather breathlessly said I looked just like Brad Pitt. Well, I know I look nothing like Brad Pitt, but I was tickled nonetheless. Not 10 minutes later, another nubile lass (it was a good party :wink: ) said, “You know who you look like?”
Me getting ready for another ego-inflation started mentally ticking off the possibilities: Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck…
She: “Bart Simpson.” :blush:
Talk about an immediate return to reality! :laughing:

My sister-in-law does think I look like Matt Damon, God bless her. She’s probably just laying the groundwork in case she has to hit me up for a loan in the future sometime, though…

I have been compared to Lenin (apparently my pointy chin looks like his goatee beard) and also Homer Simpson. Neither of these comparisons was made in Taiwan, but I have noticed recently that the caricatures my students will sometimes draw of me on the whiteboard have started to lack hair on the crown of the head. When questioned the students say ‘Teacher no hair!’
Time to admit something to myself I think.

I have a friend who likes to compare my looks to those of Woody Allen. (In case anyone’s wondering, she doesn’t mean it as a compliment.)

In a CD store, I once heard, “Hey, you look kinda like this guy.”

Well, maybe if all traces of cool and looks were removed from WZ…

Many people have told me I look like John Travolta. It’s probably because of my chubby cheeks, but I’m hoping it’s more because my butt looks like Travolta’s in Saturday Night Fever. :wink:

When I went to work at a certain “institute of technology” some years back, one of the Chinese staff members was trying to describe the other foreign teacher to me, and ended up comparing him to a famous film actor, thusly:

HER: “Well, he looks just like that famous French actor.”
ME: “Which one?”
HER: “You know, the ugly one.”
(She meant Gerard Depardieu, by the way.)

Dunno about looks, Poagao, but I watched 25th hour the other night (good film, btw) and you sure as hell SOUND like Ed Norton.

Cranky, you do indeed look a bit like Warren Zevon.

As for me, people used to compare me with the guy in Dances with Wolves, but that was when I had long hair, no jowls, just the one chin and a large waxed :blush: handlebar moustache.

These days, the celebrity I most resemble is that guy who posts incessantly on Forumosa.com. What’s his name again? Sandflea… Sandamn… ?

A few japanese business partners liken me too Zinadene Zadanne (Spelling help please) probably because of the big bold spot on my head.
