He’s not even an average national leader. You’re giving your admiration to a failed leader of a failed state. The country fell apart on his watch.
And he’s not far from the land of the original Ozymandias. Not far from him in any respect.

Still good for a few laughs.
A post was split to a new topic: From What in God’s name is going on in Syria (again)
Better late than never. The fact that the US was openly funding and training Alqaeda (because Alnusra & friends is just a branch of Alqaeda) is absurd.
Now I wonder: where will all the Alqaeda members who don’t want to be captured by government forces go? I really wonder where…nah, I’m SURE they’ll move to neighboring countries.
The US government seems to have a habit of funding Islamic terrorist groups. Wonder what retaliation will happen to Trump from the deep state because of this.
Even more than now? xD
Anyway, how was the US army helping Kurdish military forces against Alqaeda and Isis while at the same time the CIA was training and army Alqaeda? That’s some messed up stuff.
There aren’t many people who come out ahead in a deal with the devil. But Trump is someone who is way better than many people at coming out ahead in deals…
Eyad al-Gharib is charged with bringing at least 30 protesters to a notorious Damascus prison to be tortured in 2011, while working for Syria’s most powerful civilian intelligence agency, the General Intelligence Directorate (GID)
Eyad al-Gharib was an accomplice to crimes against humanity and was sentenced to 4,5 years!
He co-operated with German authorities and assisted in providing evidence against Anwar Raslan who is expected to get live in prison for being involved in the torture of at least 4,000 people in 2011-12. Raslan is charged with 58 counts of murder as well as rape and sexual assault.
After a landmark agreement to restore ties with Iran, Saudi Arabia is looking to do the same with Syria after more than a decade of hostilities, according to a new report.
Several sources close to the matter told Reuters that talks between Riyadh and Damascus gathered momentum in the weeks after Saudi Arabia and Iran agreed to reestablish diplomatic ties and reopen mutual embassies in a deal brokered by China.
So, another waste of US money and deaths of Syrians, but hey, MIC made some good money off this conflict. At least some are trying to achieve some sort of peace in that world. The West is probably not happy with KSA.
The era of FAFO is upon us.
“The extension of the George HW Bush Carrier Strike Group, inclusive of the USS Leyte Gulf, the USS Delbert D. Black, and the USNS Arctic, allows options to potentially bolster the capabilities of CENTCOM to respond to a range of contingencies in the Middle East,” Buccino said in a statement.
Buccino also noted a scheduled, expedited deployment of a squadron of A-10 attack aircraft to the region.
One U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the Bush strike group was expected to remain in the European Command area of responsibility.
PARIS (AP) — French judicial authorities issued international arrest warrants for Syrian President Bashar Assad, his brother and two army generals for alleged complicity in war crimes and crimes against humanity, lawyers for Syrian victims said Wednesday. They include a 2013 chemical attack on rebel-held Damascus suburbs.
OK, you know where he lives. Go get him.
Let’s calm down the Lebanon border and switch over to Syria again. Looks like the CIA (with Erdoğan assisting) have rolled out their proxies again. Most of them are not even Syrian.
