None of them are good. But compared to the Saudis? We get angry about Assad but how do the Saudis treat the Shia? Women? Gays? Apostates? Migrant Muslim labor? Even to skilled expats making hundreds of thousands of dollars in VIP jobs, I remember a senior exec saying “we own you”.
