What is a pocket interview

Does anyone know what a pocket interview is? Is it US slang or UK slang or Filipino English?

I have heard of brief interview, long interview, informal interview, formal interview, face to face interview and telephone interview, but never…“pocket interview.”

The phrase appeared in the Taiwan News today. 100 pesos to the first person who can define it. I already searched Net, nuttin’, just some links to Filipino newspapers…

Pocket park, yes.
But pocket interview?

[PM writes: “I think it was just the reporter’s way of saying that it was a rather smaller
interview than he normally does!”]

]]reply: but it was a long 800-word story.]]

I assume you know what a pocket calculator is ? It’s like one of those.

Concise Truant Dictionary:

“an interview where the entire contents of the interviewee’s pockets are emptied onto a table, and discussed at length.”

Could mean that the reporter is in the “pocket” of whatever environment the story relates to.

or

He has the source of the story in his “pocket”, meaning it’s exclusive.

or

The name of the news service in question is called pocket news…? :help:
