What is a thanantologist?

I have no TV in my room. So too sick to leave the bed means sleep.

TV isn’t a hobby. Hobbies involve doing something, not just staring at a screen.
yeah i actually do know that… :unamused: you missed the subtle irony in my post…

nude skydiving…that’s a hobby…

Yeah, I do that a lot. It’s called being ‘dense’. :stuck_out_tongue:

Depending on WHO is skydiving nude, watching it might be a hobby too.

So being dead wouldn’t class as a hobby then?

Just checking. This is a girl who aspires to spend her time contemplating people who do nothing. Not what I’d call a suitable foundation for a meaningful relationship.

I found a dead fish in my loft space this afternoon.

No, it’s called being a Murkin.

Ok, you forced me to look a word up. You win.

Here’s the result:

A merkin (first use, according to the OED, 1617) is a pubic wig, worn by prostitutes after shaving their genitalia to eliminate lice or to disguise the marks of syphilis.

And to think. Now we spend the same amount of effort to NOT have hair there.

Do you think, then, that the current fashion for Brasilians, etc., comes from women trying to emulate prostitutes? Prostitutes shaved the genitalia, men enjoyed this new look, men then encouraged their wives/girlfriends to shave as well, and now we all want to look like hookers.

Wouldn’t be the first fashion started by hookers.

Powdering your face was started as a fashion by decadent European aristocrats to hide skin blemishes due to syphilis and other VD. Dangerous Liasons was such a great movie.

The teenage remake was enough to make one go stabby on the eyes, though.

Them whores are sneaky buggers.

Some great comments on this thread. Really funny and cheered me up no end. Kind of strange when you consider how it started…
