I didn’t know parents were still allowed to beat their kids in Taiwan. I had assumed that was illegal for a long time but no one was enforcing it (like children not wearing helmets on scooters!!). Anyway, have fun with that law. The emotional abuse enacted on students at schools is just as bad as the physical abuse and very common here, but you don’t have photographic evidence beyond a crying/emotionally reactive kid. Children don’t really have rights to protection in Taiwan.
