What is this food called

I’m trying to find a recipe for the street food I used to find everywhere in Taiwan but when I tried to Google “round creamy Tiawanese balls” I of course found porn.
Also “Asian round custard balls with cream”, hot night market creamy balls. All porn.
Its shaped like a “Dutch pancake” ,BTW not porn, its cooked in the trays with the round shaped small indentation. Looks like pancake batter but had a custard taste and texture. Looks like Japanese squid balls but taste sweet. " also porn but not so bad.

FYI, they’re griddle cakes with custard

You can use this recipe and swap the red bean paste with custard

For as long as your dad surfed “those” sites to finally confirm they had nothing to do with night market food, you get X number of nights to stay out past 9:30pm.

That’s what it sounds like.

Did not see the meat pie version here in Taiwan, wonder it’s only in Japan

No, I haven’t, but I want one now that you say that.

I think I know what you’re talking about. They have these at Ruifeng night market, in a single stall, an elderly couple deep fries what is some kind of custard dipped in some kind of batter. They are top 5 favorite things from that night market.

Seems like the recipe conceptually would be that simple, find a batter recipe and a custard recipe and combine till you find a combo you like, or maybe somebody from Kaohsiung will visit Ruifeng and remember you and ask that couple how to make it. They’re nearly in the exact center of the market.

These balls - if I understand OP - are not the same as has been posted above, which for example you find in a lot of malls where they use those takoyaki things to make either the whole thing or other shaped moulds like fish to make each half then stuff it with something.
