You need a watch. I got him a cheap casio with an alarm. He and the guy next to him helped make sure to get each other up early.
In his experience it didnāt sound especially stressful getting ready in the morning.

Iām not sure theyād stop you, though you really arenāt going to feel like you get enough sleep. Remember they take 2 hours a night off your sleep to do fire watch. In boot camp you do it with a fake rifleā¦ but in your units, youāll be doing it with loaded rifles.
And they do take this VERY seriously.
