Can anyone recommend a taxi company that has an English app? I have see one called 55688 but not as yet tried it. Looking for an app where i can specify drop off and pick up and hopefully dont need to speak to the driver too much as I don’t speak Chinese I ideally just want to show them the trip …

Get the Uber app. Works great. All Ubers in Taiwan are actually licensed taxis, just not required to be painted yellow.

55688 has english interface, and is always metered, so no surge risk pricing like in uber.
