I’ve noticed a number of these black suckers in my house lately. It’s about half a centimeter long or even less, but I managed to snap a close up. Really want to get rid of them. Looking for identification, and info on how to destroy them. Don’t think roach glue and the other cockroach stuff works on them.
Never mind. A friend told me it’s a rice weevil.

Yeah, a rice something, don’t remember the exact English name. I had an infestation the first year here… They were cute in some way, but I got really tired of them.

Keep your rice and pastas sealed, but even then they chew through plastic bags and are probably already inside rice grains when you buy from a vendor. Warehousing is sometimes bad in Taiwan.
