My wife is heading to Hong Kong for a few days, so I dug out the several hundred HK$ I’ve had lying around. They’re pre-1997. Can these old Hong Kong dollars still be spent wherever, or would she have to exchange them somewhere? Or are they worthless and I need to hide them fast before she discovers that I’ve wasted money?
They are still valid I suppose as they are issued by several HK banks … never noticed that the same value bills are not the same …
