I’m on my third go around!
The White Lotus.
Best TV of 2021 for me.
Satire on class, race, culture and very 2021. Delightful awkwardness. Perfect casting and a unique soundtrack.
Viewers who are unable to see what is funny in Curb Your Enthusiasm need not apply. Additionally, The White Lotus has a lot deeper layers of meaning.
Since you have access to HBO, you might consider mare of east town
Has got a lot of good reviews, and is very likely quality. However, the genre of “crime drama” is for me so overwrought I have little need to watch more.
Google:
my60stv
my70stv
my80stv
my90stv
you can select the year, categories, and watch on a TV style from the decade of your choice
so many great shows on there…even has commercials from those decades
Let’s all write in our favorite show from each decade.
For me…
Comedies:
My60sTV = The Odd Couple
My70s TV= Welcome Back, Kotter
My80s TV = The Cosb— haha just kidding… Cheers
My90s TV= Seinfeld
Dramas
My60sTV = The Fugitive
My70sTV = The Incredible Hulk (it started in the 70s)
My80sTV = Miami Vice
My90sTV = Tough one. Tie between Quantum Leap and X-Files
60s shows I watched as a kid:
It was a good decade for TV shows for kids.
In other news that I do not like…
Heck I haven’t finished watching ST:TNG and would have loved a rewatch of Enterprise, as I loved it - except the crappy ending but that is par for the course.
I hope the separation won’t affect Netflix:Taiwan for a while, haven’t seen any ads on that regard. Gonna miss the animated series, at least even Voyager can be bought in DVD. And the original…sniff…
Is Paramount Plus available here? I wouldn’t worry until/ unless that service shows up here. The shows are disappearing from Netflix USA because they want people signing up for Paramount.
I see Paramount Plus on my Chromecast with Google TV purchased here in Taiwan but haven’t tried to sign up so don’t know if it works.
Not that I know of but I am quite a bit behind in tech.
Miracle Workers, started season 1.
Light and funnier than I expected, pretty funny when they’re looking at prayers to answer and most of the prayer requests are to fix the wi-fi…
I like most of Daniel Radcliffe acting in his movies and now this.
Edit: Just noticed season 1 is basically 7 20-minute episodes.
Thanks for the rec…I’ll give it a shot on HBO Max.
Watching Mindhunter now. Missed that one somehow before. Really good.
It’s awesome! A little cheesy at points, but, it’s TV after all. Hoping for an S3 soon
I read online that it’s off the table. Too busy with movies.
Ah, that’s too bad.
I did not realize Mr Bean only had 15 episodes.
Why didn’t they make more episodes? It’s atronomically popular.
No wonder I keep thinking I’ve already seen this one.
