What TV shows are you watching 2026?

Eh, wasn’t feeling it, my son felt the same, even though we both thought S1 was great. The script/acting seems lifeless.

My son and I are watching it. We’re enjoying it. But my son is a bit older now and so he’s not into it as much.

DTF St. Louis

Entertaining whodunit better than expected. 6/10

I just started S1 of this (from 2021). Pretty gritty stuff. I’ve always liked J. Renner & Taylor Sheridan. Wind River with the 2 of them (the 3rd piece of a trilogy) was very good.

Watching Born to Bowl.

Opening intro “Sports.. and well, then there’s bowling”. It’s a riot.

Had a gf whose family lived for bowling. That was one odd family, not that there is any correlation.

Did you know bowling can be traced to over 5000 years ago in ancient Egypt.

The first major open each year is in Indianapolis. Who would have thought?

I’ll watch that one.

Bowling and golf, in all its forms (golf, TopGolf, disc golf) are social sports. With the right foursome you can have seriously memorable fun.

Reminds me of another documentary, Foosballers, about an equally quirky (and social) game.

I’m on season 2 of Daredevil Reborn. It’s good stuff and Kingpin is way more like the comic book version than before. Same dude who played Private Pyle. Good call. :telephone:

It’s a bizarre show about what, post modern platonic love? I doubt we’ll ever get to know how Stranger Thing’s guy’s dick got twisted.

And I saw season 4 of this had very high ratings on RT, so I started season 1.

Good cold open!

Beef on Netflix. Got 1.5 episodes in. Everyone is an asshole or a loser. Who writes this crap?

Old people trying to understand young people. Dude quit Moon Knight to do this? Dude!

Second season of Beef is :poop:. First season was ok.

Widow’s Bay, on Apple TV. I’m enjoying this. Comedy-horror mix: take the characters of Parks & Rec (I think the show runner got their start with that series?) and move them to a New England island where a bunch of Steven King plots are suddenly taking place as the island awakes.

I’m curious where it’s going. Four episodes released so far: first mostly comedy, second had some beats that made me realize they were indeed serious about the scares, and fourth, just released, leaning yet more into the horror with very heavy Wicker Man echoes (the good one, not the Nick Cage one).

Starring Matthew Rhys, most famously of The Americans I suppose?

Not torture-porn, or I wouldn’t be watching, but more folk horror and creepy clowns doing creepier things.

NOT a spoof, not at all. The vibe it may remind me most of is Scully’s “WTF?!” reactions with Mulder, as she tries to find a way to persuade herself there’s a scientific explanation.

Whoever’s doing the prop work is a genius. The hotel has board games like “Daddy’s Home!” (“Your father got shouted at by his younger boss today. Go to the basement for the next three turns”) and “Teeth”. And oh my, the self-help book in Episode 4.

Also watching and like it. Something different.

Mad Men

Didn’t know so good at least season 1 binge watched this week.

Jon Hamm seems anything he does is good.

Just started S5.

Seems like they’re reaching. It’s like an episode of 24. Just spinning their wheels. :wheel:
