What Type of Girls do Taiwanese Boys Like?
Its true I’m Taiwanese and they are hostile to me as well.
Do you have proof of that? I find it hard to believe.

I walked into that one

I’d say be hostile back and the threads would be more interesting but I respect the fact you Taiwanese guys don’t bring yourself down to the level of Western guys in Taiwan.

If you hostile back someone use excuse to ban you from forum.
Like wait for you to use bad word.
But there is whole thread about “retard” (now name change).
Like wait for you make racist comment.
But many thread about racism, about “Is Taiwan people stupid?”
Or maybe someone hide your post in “Temporary Forum” so you cannot find.
Or some people call you “Troll”.

You know Asian people are developed slowlier in physical aspect. For 15-yo teenagers, most boys are not fully grown yet. Not to mention most primary-school girls are mostly taller than boys.

2ndly, the ratio of girl-taller-boy-shorter couples in western countries to those in Taiwan is apparently less than 1/2 times as far as I see.

Incidentally, my cousin (who is quite tall for a woman, even in the West, at about 180cm) is taller than her husband. He’s probably 175cm. I consider him quite short though, but I put that down to him being half Italian. My cousin is half Dutch, which is probably why she’s so tall. Her father and brother are tall (though her mother and two sisters are around average height).
Your cousin and her husband are something. They all have something special that attracts each other and gets over the extrinsic barrier of heights.

Really? You joined later than me and you found those terms :astonished:

But it’s true. Once I asked seriously what it means by western girls winking their eyes on purpose to me, a girl even mimicked the winks in front of a mirror, and noticed she really does that sometimes and she didn’t know about it before! And a western guy asked in the same thread why he noticed some Taiwanese girls pouted their lips at the eye contact with him and I answered him why. I think that is a very good thread for cultural difference, but unfortunately, it was moved to Temp Forum and removed at final.

Furthermore, this joking thread still stays in the forum: viewtopic.php?f=92&t=100803

“A few” Western guys, not all.

Nah… being hostile back solves no nothing. I think this is just a problem of time. If it were 2000 years ago, western people are considered ‘barbarians’ to China. One day African and Middle Eastern countries will be the most developed and prosperous ones as the major ‘solar energy exporters’ when fossil fuels are depleted, and the most brilliant solar-energy technologists will be there. But also at that time, I believe many African poeple are already mixed up!

So I’m doing the greater way, not the instantaneous-term way.

Its true I’m Taiwanese and they are hostile to me as well.
Same here. Maybe we can start (PETA FAP) Persecuted Taiwanese Formosians Against Persecution group.

Erh really? Got some stats on that?

My understanding of growth was that people around the world generally grow at approximately the same rates, and that there are probably more differences within groups than between groups. If I remember correctly, girls reach fairly close to 100% of their adult height by about 14. Boys don’t finish growing until they are about 19. However, by fifteen, boys have almost always overtaken girls. This leads into my response to your second comment.

Again, this is because I think there is a much larger overlap between women who are above average height and men who are below average height here. The distribution of heights here seems to be quite different which leads to there simply being far less likelihood that a couple where the female is taller will result. Purely as an experiment, I suspect that if we took one hundred females and one hundred males from each population and randomly paired them (rather than letting them select their own partners), there would be far more Taiwanese couples where the female would be taller. I was a teacher before I came here, and I taught at a lot of different schools, so I saw/met a lot of kids. Certainly, by the age of fifteen, the boys were really tearing ahead of the girls in terms of height. Much more so than here. Likewise, if I lined all of my colleagues up and found the overlap in heights between the males, there would be a much greater overlap between that of my colleagues here than in Australia. Likewise, when I think of all of my friends and their relatives here versus there, and think about the overlap, it’s virtually non-existant in Australia. Just as an example, in my extended family (which is, admittedly, a small and flawed sample size in many ways), there’s only one uncle and one brother in law who are shorter than the tallest female (and she’s the only female taller than them). Furthermore, the second tallest female, my sister (at about 168cm) is considerably shorter than all but those two men.

I actually suspect a lot of this is to do with poorer nutrition in previous generations, because I do notice that young men and boys here seem to be considerably taller than their fathers, but young women and girls are taller than their mothers, but not by as much. I’m not entirely sure why this lack of nutrition would stunt the growth of boys more than girls, but I do know that boys/men consume more calories per day, so that is probably the issue. In other words, the shortfall in nutrition was not as significant for girls/women. I do know, for instance, that a lot of my students come from very poor families or families that have issues to do with alcoholism and so on. Those kids tend to be abnormally short and also have certain other developmental problems. I’ve noticed than there are quite a few girls here who are pretty close in height to their male teachers. I notice that boys in the north seem to be taller than boys here, so I suspect that is to do with greater wealth and better nutrition. I suspect that in the future, this will lead to the gap in heights between men and women widening, and we’ll actually see far fewer couples in Taiwan where the woman is taller than the man. Indeed, already in the north, I see a lot more couples amongst teenagers where there is a very large height gap between the two people, much more so than between that of their respective parents.

I guess what I’m getting at is that the problem here is poor nutrition stunting the growth of boys and men in previous generations, and that this hasn’t been a problem in the West for several generations. I suspect that if we went back far enough in the West, we’d see a similar phenomenon.

Girls with racks.

So, im asking what type of girls does taiwanese boys and guys like?
Girls with racks.
When I was in jr. high, all I wanted was a girl with big breasts…

In high school, I dated a girl with big breasts, but there was no passion. So I decided I needed a passionate girl…

In college, I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional… Everything was an emergency, she cried all the time. So I decided I
needed a girl with some stability…

I found a very stable girl, but she was boring. She never got excited about anything. So I decided I needed a girl with some
excitement…

I found an exciting girl, but I couldn’t keep up with her. She rushed from one thing to another, never settling on anything. She
was directionless. So I decided to find a girl with some ambition…

After college, I found an ambitious girl and married her. She was so ambitious, she divorced me and took everything I owned…

Now all I want is a girl with big breasts…

Wait…I ain’t a fatso. :ponder:

So do I :discodance:

Well, blame it on the Brits with bad hygiene.

That would be Canucks for ya. :ohreally:

I have to say that you really made a good comment, demographically. But, culturally, it’s incorrect. If the overlap explains the girl-taller-boy-shorter phenomenum, and the wider overlap came from malnutrition, then among older couples, you must have seen more woman-taller-man-shorter examples, because the overlap percentage in the old times was even more than now. But actually, it is not like that. We see less woman-taller-man-shorter examples among older couples. In the old days, the traditional concept of 門當戶對 will hinder this phenomenum from happening. So the main reason is conceptuality and mentality, not physicality.

That is not completely true. Studies have shown that the amount of protein in a countries diet makes a huge difference. Due to dietary factors, we cannot assume similar growth rates around the world.

People in the west have been growing a different way…wider. Poor nutrition of a different kind; not lack of calories, just an overabundance of bad ones.

Bodies definitely have been changing here: I look at some of the young Taiwanese men in our ice hockey league that are 17 years old, 95kg and about 185cm and that is pretty obvious. It all has to do with the food they put in their bodies. Parents here know that too now; they start their kids on a steady diet of calcium and protein in the form of milk very early on. Thirty years ago, it was probably pretty rare to have significant amounts of protein in a diet.

The Taiwanese guys I met at the beach and so on seem to be into the big boobs now I guess. My sister came to visit in the summer and her friend came with her. Her friend has a rack like the bikini girl in Gryphon’s post. She took it well and laughed herself silly at all of the stares. She started wearing her most revealing tops on purpose. We were rolling every time we went out.

Like :astonished: :astonished: :lick: The females too.
