When is the dog fashion craze going to faze?

No, it doesn’t depend on the dog; it depends on the owner. Pups need training, rules, boundaries and limitations.

We rescued Loretta’s dog from the pound she was dumped in, paid the six months’ outstanding fees for her care to prevent her being destroyed, and found her a loving foster home, where she is being trained and cared for and behaving very well. She is anything but a nightmare. She has mild separation issues - but then who wouldn’t - and she will begin obedience training in the coming weeks. The separation issues merely involve her breaking out of her pen and waiting by the front door for her loving fosterers to return.

There is no such thing as a bad dog; just a bad owner. I know you knew that already, Maoman, but others don’t.

Bindy is now available for adoption and will make a great addition to the home of anyone who knows how to be a responsible owner, by the way. Her bad eye, though still opaque, is now back to normal size, and gives her a very unique look. :sunglasses:

Certainly, some dogs do get along with each other better than others. A dog also may resent a newly arriving dog that competes for status and affection in the household, and some dogs may be happier being the only dog in a household – but not if that means being left alone often (without any human or canine companionship).

Even two dogs that don’t really “like” each other much will still be more content in the long run having the company than they will being left alone! Dogs are pack animals, and prefer to be in a pack, whether a pack of two or of many. Even if two dogs don’t play or interact, they will be more content simply having the other present.

Maybe what my neighborhood needs is a daycare center for dogs where they can all get together while their owners are away…

Actually, the biggest factor concerning whether dogs get along (and the same with dogs and cats) is if they perceive their owner as the leader or not. Be the alpha in the pack, and the fighting stops - I have 17 dogs at home right now, and none of them fight, even though one of them had to be removed from our Bali facility for fighting.

Be the alpha!
