I remember hearing something about tattoos on hands having some sort of special significance ? Has anyone else heard that ? There is a cute girl at this Thai BBQ place that has quiet a few and one on the back of her hand but unfortunatley she doesn’t speak any english and my chinese is not good enough to ask her what it means.
I’ve seen quite a few girls with tatted hands, especially at night markets. Where I’m from that means that you’ve been locked up but something tells me that isn’t the case here… Also, they’re actually “illegal” to do in Sweden. If a tattoo artist gets caught doing one he’ll lose his license (going to an artist without a license is not the greatest idea). The reason is that you can’t cover your hands like you can cover say your back.

I can’t help myself, I see a woman with a tatoo along her back, just north of her backside and I wonder if while I’m going at her from behind, how would I feel about watching that tatoo deteriorate over the years? Could she/would she spruce it up from time to time? It’s a big turn off for me.
My concern at the deterioration of tatoos was first sparked by noticing the old blokes and their scraggily arms and faded tough guy tats in homes for the aged. A sad mockery of there once proud meaning.

Luckily I have a bible verse down my back…that is a great deterrent from guys going anywhere near my behind!

I’ll double that. What verse is it ? I am guessing Psalm 23:4. But then again that verse ends with “Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.” hmm maybe not something you want tattooed on your backside.
As for tattoos fading and detoriating a lot of that has to do with how well you take care of your tattoo, I have a friend who got a tattoo 3 years ago and the tattoo is already starting to fade. She never puts any sun lotion on it and even when she first got it she didn’t take care of it properly. The guy who did my tattoos had tattoos that were 15 years old and they still looked great.
