I’m not looking for learning Chinese podcasts. I’ve already found loads of those. I would like to find a directory of podcasts for a wide range of topics, but all in Chinese. For example, I love soccer, and I listen to bbc soccer podcasts everyday in English. Using English, I find it really easy to find a website with a directory of podcasts. Just type “podcast directory”. Using Chinese, I’m hitting a brick wall. My written and reading Chinese skills are not too hot yet. I’ve been googling things like:
Thanks for the help. Still not really finding many podcasts. Is this something to do with the fact that the itunes store is not yet open for Taiwan and China? Is podcasting not a big thing over in these parts. I’ve asked several Taiwanese friends where to find 播客. Blank stares all round.
播客 ain’t really a word, that’s why you’re getting blank stares. Your original post of 博客 is correct, but it only really means “blog” and only for mainlanders. In Taiwan, 部落格 is the term for “blog”. The term for podcast is what I wrote – pod廣播.
I stand corrected. 播客 is indeed an alternative to 博客. Still, Taiwanese typically use 部落格. Just different transliterations of the same English shorthand.
