Have left things a bit late and am desperately trying to find a place to watch Barca vs. MU. Have asked at On Tap, Tavern, Brass Monkey and Saints and Sinners but all seem to be full except for On Tap (who can’t confirm yes/no at the moment but are doing their best to find me something). Does anybody know of anywhere else showing the game in Taipei (so that I have a backup plan if On Tap turn out to be full)? Thanks.
Hi hrvatskidan,
We’ll be showing the game at Speakeasy. If you come early enough you should be able to get a seat.
The Speakeasy is located at Fùxīng South Road Section 1, Lane 107, Alley 5, No.15, B1, very close to the intersection of Fuxing South Road and Civil Blvd. Here’s the address in Chinese: 復興南路一段107巷5弄15號地下一樓. Or give us a call on 87738525 if your having trouble finding the place.
Slainte,
Niall
Watch the game with some Liverpool fans …c’mon the Barca!
Revolver (no. 1, section 1, roosevelt road - right by CKS Memorial Hall MRT) is showing it on their big screen. Soul and Funk night upstairs. Football downstairs. Entry is 300 (with a drink) between midnight and 3am. Before midnight or after 3am it’s free. As far as I know there’s no limit as it usually spills out in to the streets.
EDIT: Sorry, before 12 it’s only free for girls. But at 300 with a drink it’s virtually free
Thanks hugely for replying. I’ve got some great options now. Thanks.

The Tavern-Premier is indeed fully booked and we do not accept standing space (this is dangerous and uncomfortable). Our sister Restaurant Capone’s www.capones.com.tw Tel. 27733782
What time does the game start here.? 245am or 345 am? I mean actual kickoff time. Not program start time.
It kicks off 02:45. Hope you enjoy it.
Capones it is. But thanks to all.

Just kidding. My ABU (Anything But United) sentiments have mellowed over the years. I have a lot of respect for them.
When I phoned yesterday, I was told that it was “standing-room only.” You might want to make sure that you stop giving that information over the telephone because otherwise there’ll be some disappointed football fans who’ll miss the game (or the start, at least).

And just to complete the MU-Liverpool love-in, King Kenny was manager of the year in my opinion. Hope you enjoy the game (whoever wins).
Anyone know if channel 13 will have it? Assuming so, since they broadcast the semis…If not, I’ll give it a miss. Just a soccer match after all.
i think its coming on elta hd (Chinese commentary, sadly)
Hmm…the semi I watched on 13 (public tv?) had dual commentary for the play; just set my tv to SAP for English. See tonight, I suppose.

Got the commentary in English, just hit the audio button on the MOD remote - bottom right button for me.
It was on, and in English using SAP. What happened to Man U? I thought they were supposed to be good?!?
