I studied in Starbucks a lot my first two years. It’s too noisy now – 7-11 buy-one-get-one-free coupons changed everything. These days it’s either the library or home.
It is definitely getting harder and harder to find a nice, relaxing and relatively quiet place to study. I used to go to Dante and Ikari a lot, but then stopped as people bring gaggles of kids there are promptly cease supervising them whatsoever as if it’s a playground. Then I started going to your haunt, Starbucks, as the higher prices usually kept away the families looking for a play area. If Starbucks has now too been lost to the enemy my suggestion would be a non-chain coffee shop. They are often more peaceful and you’ll get better service once you become a regular. A friend recently suggested this centrally located option but I havent had a chance to try it yet. The pics make it look an optimal place to study though.
