Now I see a post asking where to buy a dildo, I see numerous threads with people outing each other as trolls, threads asking where the line is (ok this thread! ), people generally asking what the effing jeff is going on.
So. What the effing jeff is going on? Can we just accuse each other of trolling now? Can we just smurf with full abandon? Is Farang an acceptable put down now? And where, for Gods sake, can JOSH find himself a dildo? At what point did the thin end of the wedge become the comfortable middle?

Iāve already tried to raise this issue and was myself accused of being a troll. But I wouldnāt worry itās pretty obvious who the trolls are and once Gus gets round to it theyāll be banned. You have to give them enough time to dig their own troll holes so we can be sure they arenāt just special individualsā¦

Quite right. Iāve already had to complain about bad language, blasphemy and prejudice against the mentally challenged (at least that poster had the decency to remove his use of āretardā and apologize - thank you, sir).
I donāt think I saw that complaint. But, for your reference, the Rules state the following:

I did see that, and I usually comment regarding the use of that word. That said, I think it clear that the usage in that particular post was not overly offensive, primarily because the poster was not referring to people who actually have to deal with those sorts of challenges. Several years ago, someone used that word to complain about some of the special employees hired by McDonalds and I called him on that use and that poster was suspended.
In any event, if you see something that bothers you, take a moment to look at the Rules and if you think there is a problem, report the post.

You have word āretardā, but then think, āit not good to be retardā so cannot use.
So use new word, like āmental challengeā.

But Thai we have good solution to problem.

Long time ago farang mean āFrance peopleā.

This is a forum for adults; thereās nothing wrong with asking where to buy a dildo in itself IMO. You may have noticed though that that particular post was sent to temp, and incidentally that the OP is no longer active.

As with other problems, please report this if you see it being violated. I just removed one such post and would like to remind everyone of this rule.
That goes for any rule violation from any poster of course. If someone is demonstrably breaking a rule, then we want to deal with that. But if theyāre not breaking any rules except seeming wrong to you somehow, itās not fair to disparage them.
Smurfing is not allowed. This rule is being enforced. However, in short, in the interests of fairness to all users, weāre not banning people simply on the basis that āwe think theyāre a smurf.ā
Itās a fine line that the thin end of the wedge is butting against here. Weāre trying to do something about it while being fair. I think things are improving and will continue to.
Probably worth bringing to peopleās attention the drop down menu under the ā!ā icon top right. This is new is it not? Included in the menu is a specific troll/smurf red alert. Hit this whenever you suspect smurfery/trollage is going on. And please people exercise discretion when answering obviously ridiculous questions. It wasnāt the dildo that was the problem, it was the ridiculous tag-on question about an acceptable natural alternative. We might be adults but we arenāt altsex.com!
