Ruten is a great great and secure place to buy used items, but is a nightmare for anyone that does not hold a local ID number.
I thought getting my ARC would solve this problem, but no change. Only go the Ruten route if you have a trusted local friend/significant other to make the purchase for you.
Need a CHEAP (1-2K) used crappy smartphone with not-too-old Android (can run WeChat and Line). Business Trip to China Monday, can’t find my old Android phone - don’t want to buy online since I need it like “now”, but from a brick-and-mortar store. I’m located in Nangang, where would be a good place or area to go?
One earlier post seems to refer to Guanghua, but I’m not sure where they would sell used stuff around there…
Thanks a lot for the hints. I can confirm that in the “Old” building of the Guanghua Digital Plaza (Not the Syntrend building) there are indeed some booths selling used phones.
I ended up not buying one, simply because my wife had a great idea: Why not I just use her old phone, for free? (And I buy her a new one)
