Where's the outrage against the UN?

france24.com/en/20150101-syr … tate-assad

According to Iraq Body Count
iraqbodycount.org/analysis/numbers/2014/

140,000 to 160,000 civilian deaths in Iraq with 80,000 combatants (terrorists, armed troops) for 240,000 with Saddam removed.

Meanwhile, the UN has allowed 230,000 Syrian deaths to occur, Assad remains in power and … nothing…

Where is the outrage against the UN for its policies that have led to 230,000 deaths? We used to hear soooo much from people whose only concern was the safety and well-being of people especially INNOCENT WOMEN AND CHILDREN!!! in the Middle East. In fact, I am sure that hundreds of pages on this were the result of this “concern.” And today? Where is the outrage? Where is the anger? Where is the call for action? WHERE?

When war pimps start shedding crocodile tears over civilian casualties in the Middle East it only means one thing. It’s feeding time again and Assad is on the menu. As far as being outraged is concerned, once “shock and awe” cranks up again and we’re the ones dropping barrel bombs on civilian populations “because we care” expect the outrage to begin again. It’s that simple.

Outrage at the UN?
Hmmn.
Might as well get angry at the sun.
That corpulent academy of asshats should be relocated to Greenland, at once.
Don’t get me wrong, Funding of some UN projects are quite aptly applied.
The military ones, or anything out of the Security Council or the General Ass’emblee, are all utter rot.

This would seem more like NATO’s role, but that might entail having to pay off Putin.

What’s your red line? Nothing illustrated Obama’s weakness more than when he said “chemical weapons” would be a red line and then did nothing when Assad used them. :2cents:

Yes, why didn’t the UN send in the mighty UN armed forces to stop this tragedy?

Oh, wait, the UN doesn’t have armed forces? The UN can’t do anyhthing about this because the powers that set up the UN -the USA, USSR, Britain, France (and China tossed in as a sop to CKS- ooops) - did so in such a way as to ensure the UN is powerless to do anything without the consent of the permanent powers on the Security Council?

Reminds me of all the moronic blaming of “Congress” for not doing this or failing to stop that, ignoring the fact that it is made up of actors with their own agenda.

There is no outrage against the UN because anyone who knows anything about the subject realises this. Since fred definitely knows this, we can draw our own conclusions as to why he wasted time posting this.

Agreed, Fred definitely knows exactly why there’s no outrage against the UN. Really does beg the question, what is the point of this thread? We’re supposed to argue against him on something that we don’t disagree with? For what purpose exactly? He must not have much to do at work today or something…

UN is nothing more than a tool used by the Global elite. The name of the game is regime change in Syria and those who are formenting this regime change have no regard for sovereignty , international law, democracy , human life regardless if it is American or Arab or other. Same shit, different country.

May 2003 would have seen Saddam “I <3 Mustard Gas” Hussain as the UN Chair of Human Rights.
