Hi everyone, I’ll soon be joining the expat community in Taiwan as the happily married spouse of a Taiwan national.
One of my first priorities when I get there is to try and fix my somewhat broken Chinese language abilities with some lessons. Whilst I’ll look for tutors when I arrive, my major preference is learning in a class, as the style just suits me a lot better.
Currently both Chung Yuan and NCU are prominent options for me, as they both run the types of daytime beginners short courses I’m looking for. I know NCU is ranked highly in Taiwan as a university, but I’m particularly interested in the shorter courses available at both for Chinese learning, and whether people preferred one to the other - does anyone have any experience of either University when it comes to learning Chinese?
