Which ISP's in Taiwan traffic shape?

I already searched the forums but all the information I found was at least 3 years old. Does Hi-Net traffic shape torrents currently?

No … not that I can see

I don’t think any of them really do, just don’t expect super fast speeds to Europe and some other parts of the world. It’s generally very fast to Japan, Singapore, the US and Australia, but elsewhere, not so much.

They don’t. I’ve asked directly. The response was that, if they ever dared to, they’d lose most of their customers immediately.

The ADSL I’m on is using packet shaping, my torrent speeds are terrible. Another thread about traffic shaping from forumosa at least 2 people said their isp’s were shaping.

In America my dc++ and bittorrent was shaped by comcast.

Torrents are messed up here, I don’t think it has anything to do with traffic shaping, it’s more to do with the fact that so few people download the same stuff in Taiwan (as I presume we’re not downloading stuff with Chinese subs?). Try downloading something that’s been downloaded locally as well by a few hundred people and you’ll end up using up all your bandwidth.
