My kids have both US and Taiwan passports
We are traveling to the US this summer.
Which passports do we use for each?
Booking tickets
Taiwan Immigration departing
US immigration arriving
US immigration departing
Taiwan Immigration arriving
Booking tickets: english name on US passport
Enter/leave Taiwan with ROC passport
Enter/leave US with US passport.
Do Not enter US with ROC passport. A (big) no-no.

What would happen?
It says so (do not enter on second passport if US citizen, or words to that effect) on US government website.
Travelers with Dual Nationality.
You must enter and leave the United States on your U.S. passport. You are not allowed to enter on your foreign passport, because U.S. law requires all U.S. citizens to enter and depart the U.S. on a valid U.S. passport.

US citizens cannot enter on foreign passports as they have no visa and cannot be issued a visa or use ESTA.
Leave Taiwan on ROC passports… enter USA on US passports. Exit USA on US passports, re-enter Taiwan on ROC passports.
The name on airticket does not need to match US passport if ROC passport name is different.
You get refused entry.
