A US senator is going to try to outlaw the use of portable devices that can distract you while crossing the street … (no link in english yet)
I guess it’s about time we all realised the apocalyptic danger of what this New York State legislator has discovered is, in fact, nothing less than “iPod oblivion.”
[quote=“Paternalist Busybody Nutcase New York Senator Kruger”]“We’re talking about people walking sort of tuned in and in the process of being tuned in, tuned out,” Kruger said. “Tuned out to the world around them. They’re walking into speeding cars. They’re walking into buses. They’re walking into one another and it’s creating a number of fatalities that have been documented right here in the city.”
Oh well. Can’t come as too much of a surprise given that it’s New York.
New York City also passed a law two months ago prohibiting restaurants from using trans fats. Everything is their business.
