Does anyone do white water wafting or know of anyone who runs this kind of activity?

I’m also interested in white water, but more into the kayaking side. Does anyone know of a place to go and hire kayaks for a white water experience?
According to the LP, Hsiukuluan River in Hualien Country is where the main “venue for whitewater rafting trips is”. It also says the Laonung River in Kaosiung has also hosted a few commercial runners, but not many. No other details in there, but it says the best time is after a typhoon.

Some time ago there was a good feature in the Taipei Times about white water rafting in Hualien. It sounded really good. A search of the Taipei Times archives should pull it up.

I hear its also good in Colorado, I’d be skeptical to do it here cause of da pollution, I don’t wanna sway or swim in anything i’d be scared to ingest…are there leeches here?
