The big “C” must stand for colony. And why the white and blue color similarity to the Israeli flag? In the hypersensitive Middle East that’s either a Freudian blunder or a portent.

I believe it was designed in the UK by an Iraqi artist living there, a Muslim. It has nothing to do with Israel’s flag, that’s a silly canard. The governing council asked an Iraqi artist in the UK to design a new flag. He or she did it. What’s the big deal?
