I need to know who do I call if I need to know what happened to a package that is being sent to me. I ordered a part from Steward Macdonald (you know the guitar supplier) and they shipped it 2 weeks ago and it hasn’t showed up. I called the post office they didn’t know anything about it because Stewmac didn’t provide any sort of customs or tracking number. They sent it “airmail parcel post” and normally it takes 2 weeks. So how do I know if the thing was held by customs waiting for taxes to be paid, and they can’t notify me by phone… I have no idea how to call the customs either because their website (if its the right one) is confusing as hell.
I believe it has to be traced from the other end - how could the post office here possibly find a parcel that is not registered? You wouldn’t even know if it ever has arrived in Taiwan.
I would wait a few more days, perhaps a week even. Then contact the company where you ordered the stuff from and ask them to initiate the trace.
Damm man… I am starting to hate “airmail” because its taking forever… might as well send it by sea or something. I would advise anyone else to use UPS or at least EMS (the express postal services use) not only its faster but you can track it… Of course the downside to UPS is that they always gets taxed.
