This guy is a farkin RIOT! He’s my hero! Check him out on a tv station near you. Better than Tyson.
Yeah, I met the guy. His name is Ke Sihai [url=http://weekly.tvbs.com.tw/html/pass%20issue/233/A233/A2.htm]
What is this fellow’s agenda?
Yeah, I love Dog Man. How can ya not? Apparently he fights for “rights”—although I’m not exactly sure whose. I know he likes dogs. I hear he’s rich. I’m thinking of asking him to go a couple of rounds bareknuckle on top of CKS Memorial Hall just so I can get on TV too.
I saw him at the local hospital in Tienmu. I think his agenda is just to be where the TV cameras are!
Some Taiwanese people alluded people pay him money to protest-- I wonder is this true. Certainly he came from humble beginnings to get where he is. However if you see him driving around in his truck you could hardly think he is the gangster type.
The biggest swinging justice minister just ruled that reporters are no longer allowed to film or audio record in the courthouses. Seems that some individual was holding up signs and “creating chaos” in the courthouses. Wonder who that someone might be?
Dum dum dum duuum do do do dum dum DUM DUM DAAAH!!
Its a job for D O G M A A A A A A N N N ! ! ! ! !
You have to wonder about a system that feels so threatened by ONE man that they change the rules for everybody. I don’t sympathize with the guy though. He just strikes me as another media-savvy crank. As if there weren’t enough of these characters in the world already.
Maybe if someone could persuade him – now that he can’t do his thang at the courthouse – to protest at police stations when they bring in the suspects, they’ll stop allowing cameras in there as well.
Is this the guy that you can see on the local news standing behind anyone that is front of the camera. He is always holding up some pieces of paper calling on better treatment for dogs in Taiwan behind the heads of the of those on camera? Or is he the guy that drives around Taipei in a van with billboards attached to the outside of his van and a loudspeaker calling for the better treatment of dogs in Taiwan. Are they the same guy? Is the Dog man you are referring to none of the above?
For yea He is both the one and the other and we should all bow down before Him and praise Him.
Or at least we could get some “dogman” T-shirts printed up.
Apparently Ke Sihai (aka Dogman) had a run-in with a bunch of laowai on the weekend in Tianmu at the International Festival. Seems that he was doing his usual stunt of getting in front of the cameras (this time focused on Mayor Ma and some pleasantries to the foreign community) and waving his placards around. Don’t know what his cause was this time, though. Anyway, Mayor Ma’s security team knows who this guy is, and was treating him with kid gloves. A foreigner (wearing a red sports jersey) wasn’t as polite, and dragged the guy away from the cameras. Dogman didn’t like that, and hit back so the guy decked him. Then the rest of his (teammates?) came in and pulled the two apart. Dogman was not happy and tried to phone the police (even though the cops were all around), but to no avail. Apparently he was also confused about which foreigner he was in conflict with. I guess we really DO all look the same… The foreigner who was primarily involved was muscular, bald (or very short hair) and had a goatee. Anyone taking responsibility for this?
Ke Ze Hai has been in legal hotwater for quite some time now. Eccentric as he is, and despite his ‘ever lasting love for dogs,’ he’s also a criminal who owes money to various business interests. Usually what he does is take over a company and then run it to the ground. He takes the money to care for his dogs and print those damn cards he waves behind everyone/anyone with camera time. Too bad for his business partners, i don’t think they ever make a return on investment…
i remember a time when i was working at the grand hyatt here. Ke Ze Hai was a long term guest there and would pay his bill monthly…in CASH …of course eventually word got out, and i think some local toughs kicked his ass inside the hotel…

AH yes, dogman.
I was at the thing in Tianmu, and saw a little of the altercation between dogman and (whoever, foreigner? perhaps). From what I saw dogman tried to get in front of the cameras and some dude in a red shirt bulldozed him down the steps. I certainly didn’t see dogman take any swings at anyone. Dude is rather frail, and any "laowai’ that decided to take take a swing at him is a serious chump who was obviously a little too pumped on beer and the thrill of rolling around in the mud with his “buddies,” and thought it would be a good time to show all involved that “no one messes with the bull!” It’s like punching yer grandad.
i once had a dream about him…tv were interviewing me…i dont know why…and he was there behind me so i turned around and shook his hand and said “我幫你拿通知”…then i went back to dreaming about playing tetris and losing all the time.
He has a right to protest and protect dogs, yes, but to put himself in front of TV cameras when others are being interviewed is pure loonyness. I just don’t understand why the reporters don’t call the police on him. He is interferring with the media process. This kind of public behaviour would not be tolerated in any other modern country. i thought he was funny at first, two years ago, but he appears pathetic now.
I like cranks, don’t get me wrong, but TPO,-- time place occasion.
Yeah, I think so too. I almost feel sorry for him. Nobody takes him seriously - and why should they? His behaviour is bizarre… :?
In any other modern country decking a guy for anything other than self-defense is considered an assault. The guy’s classless but that doesn’t mean you stoop down to his level. Plus he’s non-violent! Just spray paint his placards or something! No need to be barbaric. Unless he’s being a public nuissance or trespassing he can exercise his freedom of speech.
Harmless eccentrics are cool and add a bit of colour to our lives.
