Probably loads more I’ve forgotten. Would like to see Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, would like to have seen the Doors and Frank Zappa.

Once you’ve seen Dr Hook live in concert everything else pales into significance.

Goes without saying.

I’d completely forgotten about Sultans of Ping FC. One of the finest bands ever. I have all their stuff on vinyl. Wonder where I could get hold of some of their stuff?

‘Dancin’ in the disco, bumper to bumper- Wait a minute - WHERE’S ME JUMPER?’

I forgot to mention Guns N Roses.

Here’s to you Buttercup :notworthy:

Half of the shit you mentioned didn’t even come to mind but I’m damn sure that I would have enjoyed it just the same. Damn.

Note: I didn’t included DJ’s. Of which I could probably have labeled 80% of the top names out there since 1995.

Goes without saying.

Did we meet in Co. Cork in 1988 by any chance?

Goes without saying.

County Cork, you say? Nm…to you…I’m nada.

Nope, never bin to Oirland.

‘THANKS, Armitage SHANKS! Often did we use you, never did we thank you. Often we abused you, never did we love you.’

All of these were before I was 22 when I cleared off to Asia. Saw Carabao in The Saxophone in Bangkok. And all the super-cool Taipei bands, of course.

Thirty years in the bathroom?

Pretty much…

The Levellers! They were shit, though. My friend just wanted to see some boy.
Mudhoney, Butthole Surfers. Keep remembering more.

Concerts I have enjoyed:

Status Quo (really!) 1984

Dr Hook 1988

The Smiths 1986

Neil Diamond (!) 1987

Dire Straits 1991

The Charlatans 1990

The Stone Roses 1990

Def Leppard 1987, 1988

Guns’n’Roses 1991

And the Power of Dreams at some point and also Wu Bai from 1992 to about 1994.

The Stone Roses were rubbish live but I enjoyed the evening. Dire Straits I don’t really like a whole lot but I was dragged to the gig and loved it. I only went to see the Smiths to appease a girlfriend but now I love them. I refused to go to see U2 in 1987 in their “Best Concert Ever” because I hated the sight of them. Now obviously I kind of regret that.

I saw a band during the Trip To Tipp in 1990 or 91 that I really liked but I have no idea who they were.

I saw Pink Floyd at the olympic stadium in Montreal. It sucked. Got lost in the crowd on the way out, and had to hitchhike home, too. Some insignificant little French Canadian bands in pubs. That’s it. Try to beat that! :s

Lots of boyfriend bands, including The Almighty and Fairport Convention, although they were both just sessioning/covering for regulars.

My band. Covers included ‘Marquee Moon’ (fuck, playing that is irritating) and ‘How Do you Sleep’. Played at Queen Margaret Union and downstairs at The 13th Note. Were shite. Broke up over that stupid hoor G.M. Haven’t touched a guitar for 12 years.

Would have liked to have seen the Smiths; have seen Morrissey a few times, in Ally Pally, Motherwell Community Centre, the Apollo. U2 are wank-boring. Stone Roses would be great to see, but there’s no way they could pull off their studio sound live, I don’t think…

I was just looking up the date of the Stone Roses concert I saw in Belfast and begorrah it mentioned a band I had fogotten about: The Four of Us. I had all their stuff. Loved them. Shit. And the Hothouse Flowers. They were great too. Mind you I also bought Souper Tropuer when it csme out. Hey may hand have turned into huge unweidly hams. Tremendous.

The Wonder Stuff! I just noticed the avatar. Saw 'em. ‘Size of a Cow’ and stuff.

Buttercup, that’s a shitload of awesome acts!

Lucky Sob.

I fuckin hope I can see more as I grow frail. All of ya are makin me feel as if I haven’t see nothin yet. Haha…back at ya.

They’re all dead. Like I wanted to see the Dogs d’Amour but by the time I got around to it they’d drunk themselves to death.
