Leaving the politics aside (if possible), does anyone else think that this guy has started to look quite cool? I wouldn’t mind looking like that when I’m old, and it’s a definite improvement on the old look.
Has he engaged an image consultancy, as Margaret Thatcher did in years gone by? Any reports of two Italian guys slipping in and out of his jail carrying suits and hairdressing gear?
He looks terrible but “better” than before since he lost a lot of weight. Wouldn’t call it cool though.
Actually the new look reminds me of one of my uncles, no Saddam for but not a nice guy either …
He’s definitely cool-looking. He could compete with Sean Connery for parts. I could easily see him playing opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones or something like that.

Saddam was a well known buyer of expensive Italian clothes and shoes when he was in power. Perhaps they let him have access to some of his own wardrobe.
About the Iraqis’ military uniform, have you noticed how terribly British it is, with those berets and green sweaters with patched shoulders and elbows?
I’m sorry to have to say this, but he does look a lot more presidential than George W. Bush.
Wouldn’t it be ironic if he is found innocent on all charges.

Is this the new uniform ? Are they harking back to colonial days ? Sadam should come out in a Governer’s uniform complete with feathered hat. I reckon he could carry it off.
