I rented a room in an apartment. I paid my one-month deposit and my rent to one of the other guys renting the place. My question’s this: If I’ve got a problem, who’s legally responsible for helping me? Under Taiwanese law, is it the landlord who owns the place, or the subletter who rented the room to me?
