Why are all of the desks in Taiwan so small?

Does anyone else have a problem putting their legs under a desk in Taiwan?

Every school, office and hotel that I go to I can’t comfortably put my legs under a desk with my feet flat on the ground.

I am over 6 feet tall but this shouldn’t be a problem should it?

Any one else experienced this?

Taiwanese tend to be shorter than Westerners.

My desk is also short, and I have to sit with my legs sticking out part-way into the aisle at work. I want to remove the useless keyboard drawer so I can fit my legs under the desk, but the screws are jammed in really tight.

Use four bricks and make it higher.
